Bruce Dickinson has released a striking new music video for “Change Of Heart”, one of the standout tracks from his 2025 solo album More Balls To Picasso.

The video, filmed in São Paulo, Brazil, follows Dickinson performing in an abandoned urban location alongside guitarist Philip Näslund, while a much broader story unfolds around them. The visuals explore themes of isolation, suffering, social disconnection and the possibility of finding something new amid destruction.

One of the video's central images is a young boy carrying William Blake's “The Good And Evil Angels”. Rather than acting as a narrator or delivering an obvious message, the child simply watches the world around him — representing an awareness that adults can gradually lose.

Dickinson explained that the song has always held a special place in his solo catalogue, but its newly recorded arrangement on More Balls To Picasso gave it a new weight. The use of Blake's artwork was also deliberate, reflecting themes of innocence, experience, freedom and alienation that have appeared throughout Dickinson's work.

The new version of “Change Of Heart” comes from More Balls To Picasso, the 2025 reworking of Dickinson's 1994 album Balls To Picasso. The record features newly recorded parts, new mixes and mastering, giving the original material a much more contemporary sound.

And Dickinson isn't finished with solo material. The singer has been working on his eighth solo album, much of which was recorded earlier this year with his touring band at Dave Grohl's Studio 606 in California. The album is expected in 2027, with new music reportedly set to appear before then.

The upcoming record was recorded live with Dickinson's touring musicians, including guitarists Chris Declercq and Philip Näslund, keyboardist Mistheria, drummer Dave Moreno and bassist Tanya O'Callaghan. Sepultura's Andreas Kisser also contributed percussion.

For now, however, Dickinson is turning the spotlight back toward the past — giving “Change Of Heart” a new visual life more than three decades after the song first appeared.

And judging by the video's imagery, this is definitely one to watch rather than simply listen to.
