What was the beginning pint for your music career? How did it all start?
We first started as a cover band, like most of young people’s bands but over the years, we decided it
would be best to start writing our own material. We had some urges let’s say, to express ourselves.
And so we did. Some riffs or drum patterns or vocal lines do the trick for us and then we jam along
and see what we can keep or store it for later.
Was there any bumps on the road? What kind of challenges did you have to deal with?
Oh for sure. If you are in a band and you have not found any bumps along the road, then you are either very very lucky or the bumps are in the corner waiting for you. The most challenging and tough situation we came face with, was our release party of our second studio album ‘’Time is Now’’. We had plans to do a release party for the album, as it had first came out on the internet and we had some time to perform live, so we wanted it so bad and the people who enjoyed the album were asking us when we are going to play. So we prepared everything by ourselves, photographers, promoters, we even thought to set up somewhere in the club cameras, to film it. Then Covid came. So, we cancelled our sold out release party (3 days prior to the event) and we stayed home with practically nothing. After a few more setbacks, the biggest one was our then singer could not continue due to health issues, and some long talks between us about the band’s future, we decided to continue. Which is kind of ironic, as album’s title is ‘’Time is Now’’ and we sat on our couches for almost 3 years.
What was the most fulfilling and satisfying moment so far?
After everything we’ve been through, to be honest with you, and I believe the rest of the band will agree, was the first live show we played last month in April, with the amazing Rollin’ Dice. It was our first live show with our new singer, and the first live show for us, after 3 years of practically doing nothing. We were so ecstatic and we were waiting for it, like a child waiting for ice cream.
How would you describe the music that you typically create?
We play modern hard rock in it’s most generic aspect let’s say or at least that’s what we tell to everyone who asks us.
What is your creative process like?
Some riffs or drum patterns or vocal lines do the trick for us and then we jam along and see what we can keep for now and create something or store it for later.
If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?
More appreciation for music itself and not for the money. Bands and artists spend their whole
life, way too much money and work tirelessly to tour around the world, in order for them to heard. If
we could find a way to help each other out on this journey, that would be amazing.
If you were asked to give a piece of advice to upcoming bands, what would that be?
Never back down. Keep writing songs or come up with ideas even when they sound stupid and find other people who share the same love for music as you. Whenever you feel disappointed, we get it. We’ve been there and we will be there in the future for sure. But never stop expressing yourself no matter what you do. Because in the end, your songs are your children. And you got to love your children right? No matter what.
What has been the best performance of your career so far?
Our most memorable gig, was the one back in 2015, when we played on the ‘’Rock on the Beach’’
festival, in Thessaloniki. It was an amazing 2-day festival with great bands, rock n’ roll and lots of beer cans.
If you didn’t become a musician, what would you be doing now?
Being a drummer. I’m kidding. Probably switching on jobs back and forth until I stay somewhere I
really like. What I do like to be honest, is learning more about music’s history. From classical, to the
first blues and soul songs, that lead to rock and then to metal. Maybe I’ll create a documentary one
day about this, who knows.
What is new with the band at the moment? What are you currently working on and would like to share with the world?
Since it’s not been that long we resurfaced from a three year hiatus, due to Covid and our former
singer leaving the band due to health issues, first thing is do as many rehearsals as we can, since we also now have a new singer. We need to be ready, as on July 9th, we have the honor of playing in the ‘’Rockwave Festival’’ on July 9 th , which is one of the biggest stages in Greece, if not the biggest. We also played on May 26 th in ‘’An Club’’ in Athens, celebrating 20 years for the ‘’Made In Hell’’ studios, which is also the studio we rehearse and record our albums. A great 2-day festival. Apart from those 2, we are looking to do some more shows in Greece, but nothing is sure yet.
