Avatar: Avatar Ages - Age of Memories, 30.01.2021

Memories was the last part of Avatar Ages live stream concert series. I liked that it had had a concept. I mean, it wasn't just a concert in which the band played songs from the first three albums. It was a story about the band showing the guys' journey from the rehearsal room to the world.

About 25 minutes before the show, there were two really old live footages of the band. The first one was Avatar's first show ever, the other one was recorded at the concert where Henrik and Simon had played in the band for the first time. More...

Avatar: Avatar Ages - Age of Madness, 23.01.2021

Madness was the best word to define the 3rd part of Avatar Ages. This time the band went back to the Black Waltz and the Hail The Apocalypse eras.

The intro video looked like a scene of a slasher movie. It was a brilliant idea to connect it with the live stream concert. Another Saturday, another Avatar live stream show and the first fan voted setlist. Namely, the band had asked their fans earlier to vote for the songs from the albums Feathers & Flesh and Avatar Country. (It was the same regarding the other older albums, as well.)

The first part was about Feathers & Flesh which was a really good fable about the battle of the Owl and the Eagle. The show was opened with Regret and we could see Johannes sitting by the piano singing the song in his F&F costume. Then he stood up to join Henrik, Jonas, Tim and John by the other "stage". More...

Avatar: Avatar Ages - Age of Dreams, 09.01.2021

Well, I noticed with a surprise that the last review (here) was about an Avatar show that had happened in Budapest almost 2 years ago... So, it is really time to write something new. Luckily, the band mentioned above has decided to do a 4-part live stream series presenting the band's history. In this case, the ride is from the end to the beginning.

The first part was advertised like this:
"Age of Dreams will include Hunter Gatherer performed from start to finish plus some of Avatar’s biggest songs." More...
