American hard rock veterans Spread Eagle have released a new single and official music video for their version of UFO's “Pushed To The Limit”.
The track appears on the band's latest studio album, The Brutal Divine, released through Frontiers Music Srl.
The choice of song has a personal connection for bassist and vocalist Rob De Luca, who spent 16 years performing with UFO. According to De Luca, “Pushed To The Limit” was one of his favorite UFO songs to play live, and the track eventually found its way into Spread Eagle's set after guitarist Ray West suggested adding it to the band's repertoire.
For Spread Eagle, the song's heavy guitar riff and driving character proved to be a natural fit for their own sound.
The Brutal Divine is the band's fourth studio album and continues their long-standing combination of gritty hard rock, melody and a darker edge.
The record also explores themes of freedom, personal beliefs and community, while maintaining the raw energy that has defined Spread Eagle throughout their career.
Fronted by Ray West, the current lineup also features guitarist Gianmaria “Jommy” Puledda, Rob De Luca on bass and vocals, and drummer Rik De Luca.
The band are currently supporting The Brutal Divine with an extensive international tour, including dates across Europe and the UK before returning to the United States later in the year.
