VRSTY Release Emotional New Single "grief machine"

New York-based genre-blending outfit VRSTY have unveiled their latest single, "grief machine", accompanied by a heartfelt official music video.
Known for combining elements of alternative rock, hard rock, pop and R&B, the band once again push musical boundaries with one of their most personal releases to date. Vocalist Joey Tyler revealed that the song was originally inspired by the loss of his dog, but gradually evolved into a deeply honest reflection on grief, emotional healing and learning how to process loss.
The stripped-back visual presentation places the focus entirely on the song's emotional weight, allowing Tyler's performance and lyrics to take center stage. Rather than offering simple answers, "grief machine" explores the many stages of grief while delivering a message of hope for anyone facing difficult times.
The new single follows earlier 2026 releases "face down" and "ez2find", as VRSTY continue to expand their unique sound ahead of upcoming tour dates with DED and Dropout Kings.
REVENGIN Return With New Single And Video "Far Away"
Brazilian symphonic metal band REVENGIN have unveiled their new single and official music video, "Far Away," marking the next chapter following the international success of their 2025 album Dark Dogma Embrace.
The song explores themes of absence, longing, hope and emotional resilience, transforming those feelings into a cinematic musical experience. While rooted in symphonic heavy metal, "Far Away" combines powerful guitar riffs with sweeping orchestral arrangements, memorable melodies and dramatic vocal performances, creating an atmosphere that is both emotional and epic in scale.
Produced by the band together with Caio Mendonça at Tellus Studio, the single benefits from a polished production that preserves the dynamic contrast between intimate moments and explosive symphonic passages. The accompanying music video further reinforces REVENGIN's increasingly cinematic artistic direction.
Founded in Rio de Janeiro in 2008, REVENGIN have built an international reputation through European and South American tours while sharing the stage with major acts including Iron Maiden, Dream Theater and Gojira. With "Far Away," the band continue to refine their signature blend of symphonic metal, technical musicianship and emotionally driven songwriting, pointing toward an exciting new phase in their career.
GHOST Return To Cinemas With New Concert Film 2 BIG TO RIG
After breaking records with their 2024 film RITE HERE RITE NOW, Swedish rock giants GHOST are heading back to cinemas with a brand-new concert film, 2 BIG TO RIG.
This time, the focus shifts entirely to the band's spectacular live production. Filmed on 16 mm film during two completely sold-out performances at Mexico City's Palacio de los Deportes in September 2025, the movie places viewers right in the middle of one of the most ambitious shows of the SKELETOUR WORLD TOUR.
Unlike its predecessor, 2 BIG TO RIG isn't built around a fictional storyline. Instead, it celebrates the full concert experience, combining breathtaking live performances with exclusive behind-the-scenes footage that reveals the enormous effort required to bring Ghost's elaborate stage production to life every night. It also features the only professionally filmed footage of Papa V Perpetua and the Nameless Ghouls from the band's phone-free world tour.
The film's title references the enormous scale of the SKELETOUR production, which ultimately concluded after 70 shows across North America, Europe and Mexico. It also serves as a way to bring the experience to fans in countries the tour couldn't visit, as well as those who missed the originally scheduled first Mexico City concert, which had to be cancelled due to illness.
Fans can expect a career-spanning setlist featuring material from all six Ghost studio albums, including songs from the band's chart-topping 2025 album SKELETÁ, alongside beloved standalone hits such as "Mary On A Cross," "Kiss The Go-Goat," and "The Future Is A Foreign Land."
The concert film will receive a limited worldwide theatrical release beginning August 26, with selected screenings also available in IMAX, promising what could become one of the biggest rock cinema events of the year.
SEVEN SPIRES Announce A Fortress Called Home (Master Key Edition)
American symphonic metal outfit SEVEN SPIRES are revisiting one of their most celebrated releases with the announcement of A Fortress Called Home (Master Key Edition), arriving on September 4 via Frontiers Music.
Originally released in 2024, A Fortress Called Home earned widespread praise for its ambitious blend of symphonic, power, progressive and extreme metal. Now, the band are expanding the experience with a definitive three-disc edition.
Alongside the original album, the Master Key Edition includes complete instrumental versions, allowing listeners to fully appreciate the intricate arrangements and orchestration behind the music. The third disc features newly created orchestral versions of selected songs as well as exclusive live recordings captured during the band's recent touring cycle.
To accompany the announcement, Seven Spires have unveiled the orchestral version of "Songs Upon Wine-Stained Tongues," offering fans a first taste of the expanded release.
Frontwoman Adrienne Cowan also highlighted that this is the first time the band has officially released orchestral arrangements, calling it a long-time dream finally brought to life.
SABATON Celebrate 10 Years Of The Last Stand With Anniversary Edition
Swedish power metal giants SABATON have announced a 10th Anniversary Edition of their landmark album The Last Stand, scheduled for release on September 11 via Nuclear Blast Records.
The expanded edition celebrates one of the band's most successful releases, which originally debuted in 2016 and topped charts around the world while introducing fan favourites including "The Last Stand," "Winged Hussars," "Shiroyama," and many more.
For the first time, the album will include every bonus track together in one release. Fans can also choose from limited vinyl editions featuring alternative artwork or a deluxe CD/DVD digibook containing previously unreleased live footage recorded during Sabaton Open Air 2016.
Bassist Pär Sundström reflected on the album's legacy, noting that the bonus video captures guitarist Thobbe Englund's final performance before stepping away from the band for eight years — a moment that has gained even greater significance since his return in 2024.
The anniversary edition offers longtime fans a chance to revisit one of SABATON's defining albums while introducing a new generation of listeners to a modern power metal classic.
EIVØR Announces New Album Tungl And Releases New Single "Drekafljóð / Dragon Maiden"
Acclaimed Faroese singer-songwriter EIVØR has announced her next studio album, Tungl, which will be released on October 16.
The title, meaning "Moon" in Faroese, introduces another deeply atmospheric chapter in Eivør's remarkable career. Alongside the announcement, she has unveiled the album's latest single, "Drekafljóð (Dragon Maiden)," accompanied by a visually stunning music video filmed in the forests of Iceland.
According to Eivør, the song celebrates the instinctive strength that exists within everyone. While her previous single, "Healer," focused on resilience, "Dragon Maiden" explores themes of intuition, surrender and embracing life's uncertainty.
The music itself combines danceable rhythms with melancholic undertones, reflecting Eivør's signature balance between light and darkness. Produced together with longtime collaborator Tróndur Bogason, the track also showcases the cinematic sound that has become one of the artist's defining characteristics.
The accompanying video was filmed in Svínadalur, Iceland, using a specially constructed rotating platform that allowed Eivør to perform while continuously spinning. Rather than relying on digital effects, the production created the surreal visual atmosphere through practical filmmaking techniques.
Following the album's release, Eivør will perform special release concerts in the Faroe Islands and Iceland before embarking on extensive touring across Europe, the UK and North America.
LEVINIA Release New Single And Video "The Blank Page"

Los Angeles symphonic metal band Levinia have unveiled their latest single and official music video, "The Blank Page." The song concludes the band's ambitious four-single release cycle for 2026, following Bite, Silver Tongues and The Thorn.
Unlike the band's previous releases, The Blank Page explores deeply personal themes including creative paralysis, isolation and inner conflict. The song begins with a haunting, vulnerable atmosphere before building into one of Levinia's heaviest and most emotionally powerful choruses to date.
The single was produced by Brandon Friesen, whose production credits include Halestorm, Nickelback, Papa Roach and The Hu. His collaboration with the band helped shape the track into a cinematic and emotionally driven experience while preserving Levinia's signature blend of symphonic arrangements and modern metal intensity.
The accompanying music video reflects the song's themes through striking visual symbolism, featuring a lonely house, desolate landscapes and a burned page representing lost ideas and creative silence.
With all four singles now released, Levinia closes an important chapter in their career while already working on new material. According to vocalist Kourt Henson, The Blank Page is not the end of the band's current journey, but the beginning of an exciting new era.
