GÅTE Release New Single and Video "Oskorsreia"

Norwegian folk rock band GÅTE have unveiled their new single and official music video, "Oskorsreia," the latest preview of their forthcoming album Sigil, scheduled for release on September 25th via Season of Mist.

Inspired by the ancient Nordic legend of the Wild Hunt, the song combines traditional Norwegian folk elements, including the Hardanger fiddle, with modern rock instrumentation and atmospheric production. The accompanying music video, filmed in the forests around Trondheim, brings the haunting folklore to life through striking visuals.

Following their international breakthrough after representing Norway at the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest with "Ulveham," GÅTE continue to draw inspiration from Nordic mythology and folklore. Sigil, the band's first album for Season of Mist, promises ten new songs exploring themes of prophecy, mortality, renewal and ancient legends.

STABBING WESTWARD Announce Wither ReWired For 30th Anniversary Of Wither Blister Burn & Peel

Industrial rock veterans STABBING WESTWARD have announced Wither ReWired, a complete re-recording of their landmark 1996 album Wither Blister Burn & Peel, scheduled for release on September 10th.

Originally released on Columbia Records, Wither Blister Burn & Peel became the band's first Gold-certified album in the United States and helped establish industrial rock as a major force within the alternative music scene, thanks to songs such as "Shame" and "What Do I Have To Do?"

Rather than remastering or remixing the original recordings, Wither ReWired presents a complete reinterpretation of the album, reflecting how the band approach these songs three decades later. According to vocalist Christopher Hall and keyboardist Walter Flakus, the project isn't about replacing the original, but about giving the songs new life while preserving the emotional connection that made them so important in the first place.

The first single, "Crushing Me," is available now, with the full album arriving on September 10th.
