GENTIHAA: "Reverse Entropy" (23rd Sept 2019, Symmetric Records)

The Greek metal scene has been considered for years as one of the most constantly developing in Europe and in proportion to the population of the country, the number of bands is both large and of high quality in all subgenres of the metal family.

So to present such a scene, another band that was dynamically introduced to the metalheads causing attention, does not make an impression, but it is definitely a very welcomed addition.

We introduce to you the Athenians Gentihaa and their debut album “Reverse Entropy”which was released via Symmetric Records, owned by Bob Katsionis, who was also responsible about the production.

First of all, the cover impresses and makes you hope for a similar sequel to the speakers. And this happens easily in the end because Gentihaa achieve something that is neither easy nor self-evident nowadays after decades of metal music: To stand out and be really unique!

With the support of an excellent production, the Greek band submits its own proposal, which strikes an impressive balance between classic metal and extreme sound. Perhaps, this will disappoint some cult fans who are prejudiced about experimentation, but Gentihaa have managed with professionalism and dedication to unite these two metal worlds and present their concept work in the best way.

Technically, the band is at a high level and without exaggeration about their playing, the compositions are well-worked, the melodies and riffs are full of genuine inspiration and the vocals impress about how easily they move between the clean and the dirty side.

Overall, this is an impressive debut from the Greek band that can be appreciated by every open-minded metal fan. We will look forward to the continuation of this special but successful effort.
