Christian metal veterans STRYPER have released the official lyric video for their brand-new single, "Ashes To Roses," offering fans another preview of their upcoming studio album, Throne Of Thorns, due out on September 25 via Frontiers Music.
According to vocalist and guitarist Michael Sweet, the new song explores a slightly different side of STRYPER while staying true to the band's signature sound.
"'Ashes To Roses' has a bit more of a classic rock vibe, but it still has everything you'd expect from STRYPER. We wanted to deliver the melodic rock ballad that so many fans have been asking for."
Throne Of Thorns marks STRYPER's 18th studio album, further cementing the band's remarkable four-decade legacy. Known for combining melodic hooks, soaring vocals and powerful heavy metal, the band continues to evolve while remaining faithful to the sound that made them one of the genre's most recognizable names.
Drummer Robert Sweet believes the new record could be STRYPER's strongest release yet, praising the songwriting and dedication that went into every track.
The album follows June's release of the title track, while "Ashes To Roses" now gives listeners another taste of what's to come.
More than 40 years after forming, STRYPER continue to prove that their passion for melodic heavy metal remains stronger than ever.
