Finnish heavy metal band Crimson Day have released a new lyric video for "War Machine", the opening track from their latest album, Dark Dimension, released on May 22, 2026 via Wormholedeath.
The song pays tribute to the sound of old-school heavy metal while exploring humanity's fascination with increasingly powerful war machines. Its inspiration includes the legendary fighter aircraft of World War II, as well as the Battlestar Galactica episode "Scar".
The accompanying lyric video features authentic World War II footage, including aerial combat between Allied and Axis forces, with a particular focus on RAF and Luftwaffe pilots.
"War Machine" adds another chapter to Crimson Day's blend of classic heavy metal, soaring melodies and darker modern influences.
About Crimson Day
Formed in Tampere, Finland, in 2013, Crimson Day have spent more than a decade developing their own take on heavy metal. The band have performed more than 100 live shows across Finland and Europe, sharing stages with acts including Sonata Arctica, Turisas, Korpiklaani, Turmion Kätilöt and Reckless Love.
Their latest album, Dark Dimension, was released via Wormholedeath and is available on streaming platforms and CD.
