Finnish modern metal band BLIND CHANNEL have officially announced their sixth studio album, "Painstream", set for release on October 30 via Century Media Records.
The upcoming record marks the band's first full-length release since Exit Emotions (2024) and the beginning of a new chapter following the departure of longtime vocalist Joel Hokka in 2025.
According to the band, Painstream explores the many faces of pain—from personal struggles to social and existential challenges—while delivering a message of hope in an increasingly divided world.
To introduce the album, BLIND CHANNEL have released a short film featuring the first new songs, "Diana" and "No Encores In A Swan Song." Additional singles are scheduled to arrive on September 3 and October 1.
Alongside the album announcement, the Finnish outfit also confirmed a headline show at Helsinki Ice Hall this November, two performances in Japan, and a major European headline tour planned for early 2027.
Since representing Finland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 with "Dark Side", BLIND CHANNEL have become one of the country's biggest modern metal exports. With Painstream, the band promises its most honest, ambitious and emotionally charged album yet.
