TEMIC Announce New Concept Album Ceiba

Progressive metal supergroup TEMIC have announced their second studio album, Ceiba, set for release on October 2, 2026, via Season of Mist.

Alongside the announcement, the band unveiled the album's first single, "Ceased To Be," accompanied by an official music video filmed in Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula beneath a sacred Ceiba tree and inside a natural cenote. Directed by Cesar Mendiburu, the video explores themes of mortality, transformation, and acceptance inspired by Mayan mythology.

Described as a concept album about loss in its many forms, Ceiba expands on the progressive foundations of TEMIC's acclaimed debut while placing greater emphasis on emotional storytelling. According to the band, the new material blends progressive metal, hard rock, and melodic songwriting with deeply personal and philosophical themes.

TEMIC features an impressive lineup of musicians with connections to Haken, Devin Townsend, Neal Morse Band, Shining, Maraton, Big City, and Mike Portnoy's Shattered Fortress. The album also marks the recording debut of bassist Miguel Pereira, who joins the band's internationally acclaimed lineup.

Following the album's release, TEMIC will embark on a European headline tour this October with fellow Season of Mist artists Kingcrow, performing new material from Ceiba alongside songs from their debut album.

With its ambitious concept, cinematic visuals, and emotionally driven songwriting, Ceiba promises to be another significant step forward for one of progressive metal's most exciting modern supergroups.
