KING ULTRAMEGA Release "Birth Ritual" Tribute Featuring Matt Cameron And Lzzy Hale

The all-star tribute project KING ULTRAMEGA has unveiled its latest Chris Cornell tribute with a brand-new version of "Birth Ritual".

The release features Matt Cameron, who originally co-wrote and performed the song with Soundgarden, together with Lzzy Hale and Joe Hottinger of Halestorm, plus producer and bassist Mark Menghi.

Released shortly after what would have been Chris Cornell's 58th birthday, the track also celebrates the enduring legacy of the iconic Singles soundtrack, where the original version first appeared.

Rather than simply recreating the classic song, the musicians sought to preserve its raw intensity while adding a fresh interpretation that honors Cornell's extraordinary influence on rock and metal.

The project continues KING ULTRAMEGA's mission of celebrating every era of Chris Cornell's remarkable career, with previous releases already featuring members of Soundgarden and other legendary artists.

Italian alternative progressive metal band Red Code have officially signed with Epictronic Records.

Alongside the announcement, the band unveiled "Quarantine," the first single and music video from their upcoming debut EP, Traces of Unease and Discomfort (Episode 1), scheduled for release this September.

The new song forms part of An Archive of Us, a sci-fi/thriller project using a dystopian world to explore themes of control, isolation and human behavior.

After years of building their reputation on the live circuit, Red Code are now preparing to release their first collection of original studio material. The EP features production work by renowned engineers Jens Bogren and Simone Mularoni, promising a polished blend of alternative and progressive metal.

THE AUTUMN AURORA Release New Single And Video "False Idols"

Italian darkwave and post-punk band The Autumn Aurora have unveiled their new single and official music video, "False Idols," now available through Volcano Records.

The song explores themes of propaganda, media influence and the false ideals promoted by politics, religion and modern society. According to the band, the track reflects the struggle of those who reject appearances and manipulation in search of their own identity.

Musically, "False Idols" combines atmospheric synthesizers, analogue orchestral textures and an unusual dual-bass approach, where one bass drives the rhythm while the second takes on melodic lead duties. The band's signature sound is completed by the deep, theatrical vocals of Saveria Maitilasso.

The release follows the band's previous single, "Plastic Altar," and continues to showcase The Autumn Aurora's distinctive blend of darkwave, post-punk and cinematic atmosphere.
