Rock giants Three Days Grace have released their eighth studio album, "Alienation", today via RCA Records. Marking the return of original frontman Adam Gontier, who joins Matt Walst on vocals, the 12-track record delivers the band’s signature intensity while ushering in a new yet nostalgic era for Three Days Grace.
Ahead of "Alienation", the band dropped the radio hits “Apologies” and “Mayday,” along with the explosive opener “Dominate” and the emotionally charged “Kill Me Fast” as digital singles. From pensive ballads to massive rock anthems, the album balances raw, emotional lyricism with the hard-hitting sound that has defined Three Days Grace for more than two decades.
The album was shaped by three powerhouse producers: longtime collaborator Howard Benson, Zakk Cervini (Blink-182’s Grammy-nominated California), and Dan Lancaster (Bring Me The Horizon, Blink-182). Together, they crafted a record that blends industrial-tinged rock tracks like “Power,” “In Cold Blood,” “Deathwish,” “In Waves,” and “Another Relapse” with the powerful acoustic-driven lament “Never Ordinary,” which reflects on the universal struggles everyone faces; the grungy, bittersweet pop ballad “Don’t Wanna Go Home Tonight,” an ode to the freedom of youth; and “Kill Me Fast,” a breathtaking plea for a quick, merciful goodbye.
With billions of streams, millions of albums sold, and sold-out arena tours across multiple continents, the multi-platinum Ontario, Canada-based band continues to reach new milestones. Alongside 20 No. 1 hits on Mediabase Active Rock and 19 No. 1 hits on Billboard Mainstream Rock, Three Days Grace was recently inducted into Spotify’s prestigious “Billions Club” when their rock anthem “I Hate Everything About You” surpassed one billion streams. Since its 2003 release, the single has become a cornerstone of modern rock history.
Their impressive arsenal of No. 1 singles includes: “Home,” “Just Like You,” “Pain,” “Animal I Have Become,” “Never Too Late,” “Break,” “Good Life,” “World So Cold,” “Misery Loves My Company,” “The High Road,” “Chalk Outline,” “I Am Machine,” “Painkiller,” “The Mountain,” “Infra-Red,” “Right Left Wrong,” “So Called Life,” “Lifetime,” “Mayday,” and “Apologies.”
