Dave D.R. is a multi-instrumentalist recording artist and performer from Ontario Canada. He released his debut EP on CD & 7" vinyl in 2016 and on social media in 2020. He is currently writing and recording the first full length album and here we have 3 new singles from this album.
Dave also released 3 video clips from each one single. He plays all instruments and also sings…a really talented guy! Every song on this new work is worthwhile. There are mid tempo, thundering heavy pieces that are bursting with screaming leads, arching rock grooves and some glorious vocals from Dave. These are some frenzied and memorable metal anthems that contain awesome hooks and great choruses. Dave is a really dedicated metalhead who knows how to compose and arrange very well.
In 2020 Dave started working with legendary Metal singer Ralf Scheepers of Primal Fear to further develop his vocal abilities. Ralf also helps about the songs so the result sounds even more amazing!
The personal favorite here is “Gone To Hell”, a song that was mixed and mastered by Ralf. Dave often sounding like the great Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford at his most lower vocals. The guitars are a bit more complex than something like Iron Maiden early days (if not as catchy). And even the drum work of Dave is outstanding; he could easily be a touring member for many known bands. He puts a lot of energy and effort on his performance.

The leads should also get a mention: they're wild, dirty and not enormously catchy, but they add this great metal essence and tension to the whole story. This is one hell of new stuff. Bad ass defined. Period. Immortalizer will certainly get the attention they deserve in the near future. It's never too late for great metal and I could recommend their stuff over and over. Can’t wait for the full album!
