Avenford Unveil New Lyric Video for "Modern World"

Hungarian power/heavy/progressive metal band Avenford have unveiled a brand new lyric video for their latest single, "Modern World."

The song takes a critical look at modern society, exploring themes such as alienation, technological dependence and the gradual loss of genuine human connection. According to the band, the track serves both as a warning and as a personal outcry against losing ourselves in the constant noise of the modern world.

Visually, the comic-book-style lyric video was created by Zsolt Kovács, who envisioned a dark cyberpunk-inspired world filled with neon lights and a gloomy futuristic atmosphere. Fans of classics such as Blade Runner may recognize some familiar influences throughout the video's visual style.

In addition to the new release, Avenford will perform two shows in London on July 9 and 10 at the Cart & Horses, appearing as guests of Iron Maidnem. https://www.facebook.com/avenford/events

Canadian traditional heavy metal band Iron Kingdom have released a brand-new behind-the-scenes mini-documentary focused on the making of their latest studio album, "Shadows and Dust".

The documentary gives fans an inside look at the band's creative process, revealing how songs were developed through collaborative jam sessions and how the album's themes evolved during recording.

King Ultramega Pay Tribute To Chris Cornell With "Loud Love" Cover

King Ultramega have released a new cover version of Soundgarden's "Loud Love," paying tribute to the late Chris Cornell while supporting MusiCares and its work within the music community.

The track features an all-star lineup including Lzzy Hale (Halestorm), Alex Skolnick (Testament / Metal Allegiance), Dave Krusen (Pearl Jam), and producer Mark Menghi.

Rather than reinventing the song, the musicians focused on honoring the spirit of the original recording. To achieve that goal, the track was recorded using a traditional analog approach, with musicians performing together live to capture the warmth and energy associated with classic recordings.

The release is part of the broader King Ultramega project, a tribute dedicated to celebrating Chris Cornell's songwriting, artistry, and lasting influence on rock and metal music.

In addition to honoring Cornell's legacy, the project is helping raise awareness and funds for MusiCares, which provides mental health support, addiction recovery services, and emergency assistance to music industry professionals.
