"The Elders’ Call" is the fifth song & single from Dianne van Giersbergen’s waterfall release album "Soulward Bound", which she will release under her own name “DIANNE”. All songs on this album are co-written & produced by Joost van den Broek (Powerwolf, Epica, ao). Each song features a different band, made up of well-known international musicians from the metal genre. The brand new single “The Elders’ Call” is out today!

DIANNE states about the new song: ""The Elders' Call" is about hearing and answering the call of our ancestors – The Elders. Their song echoes through our hearts as we seek love and connection, walking the earth as they once did. They who paved the way, endured, triumphed, and celebrated life.

"The Elders' Call" is a cinematic, folk-infused metal hymn where soaring operatic vocals rise over primal drums, haunting hurdy-gurdy, and ethereal flutes - echoing the voices of the Elders.

"In the artwork and cinematic music video for my release, you’ll see the hooded DIANNE representing the Elders' Matriarch, with the Eagle-Owl by her side as her avatar.
Like her, all Elders find their avatars in birds of prey—silent watchers who roam the skies, keeping a watchful eye as we follow our path. This vision comes to life in the video, where not only the Eagle-Owl but also another powerful bird of prey takes center stage", DIANNE explains.

Fans who enjoy bands like Nightwish, Xandria, Epica, Powerwolf and other similar bands from the symphonic metal genre will definitely want to hear DIANNE’s music.

“The Elders’ Call” features:
Patty Gurdy on Hurdy Gurdy
Jeroen Goossens (Ayreon) on Flutes & Whistles
Morten Veland (Mortemia, Sirenia) on Guitars
Rowan Roodbaert (Heidevolk) on Bass
René Patrick Boxem (Blackbriar) on Drums
