Brace yourselves for a wave of raw emotion and sonic devastation. Rising US melodic metal outfit The Lucidia Project unveils their powerful new single, "Soul Killer," out now on all major platforms.
"Soul Killer" delves into the harrowing depths of emotional abuse, capturing the struggle and pain of being trapped in a toxic relationship. The track is a potent blend of aggressive riffs, soaring vocals, and melancholic piano melodies, perfectly encapsulating the emotional turmoil of the lyrics.
Founded in 2022 by Baldwin and bassist/guitarist Ben Jacobs, The Lucidia Project has been rapidly carving their niche in the metal scene. Their sound is a captivating fusion of alternative metal, symphonic elements, and introspective songwriting, reminiscent of progressive rock and indie influences.
The band's 2022 self-titled demo garnered them early recognition, with tracks like "In the Fray" and "Lights Out" finding airplay on independent radio stations. Building on this momentum, their 2023 EP, "The Requiem EP," further solidified their sound, blending metal with indie and alternative influences while garnering press attention and additional radio play.
"Soul Killer" marks a new chapter for The Lucidia Project. With the addition of Chris Polasky (rhythm guitar) and Daniel Williams (lead guitar) in 2023, the band has achieved a more mature and refined sound. Co-produced by Danny Meyers and mixed/mastered at the renowned Sunway Studios in Germany, "Soul Killer" is a testament to their growth and artistic evolution.
