International Heavy Rock act COBRA SPELL sheds its skin and releases their second EP - Anthems Of The Night - on March 31st, 2022 independently.
With their second single, “The Midnight Hour”, the five-piece showcases their ability to make the grooviest of songs a true party banger. Destined to rule the world with shredding sprawling guitar screams, over-the-top stage performances and hook infused vocals.
Formed by the up-and-coming guitar phenomenon Sonia Anubis (CRYPTA, Ex-BURNING WITCHES), COBRA SPELL is slithering its way into the revival era of the 80’s Glam and Heavy Metal sound. The worldwide sleaze quintet is completed with Alexx Panza (HITTEN) on vocals, Sonia Anubis on Lead Guitar, Esmée Van Sinderen on Rhythm Guitar, Angelina Vehera on Bass and Léonard Cakolli on Drums.
Sonia Anubis states:
“Let me tell you; this song is the sleaziest song of the our collection. I was searching to create a song that took you back to the groovier sexy 80’s songs. A song that could make anyone feel the heat off the rhythm and dance all night. Want to make your boring party fun? Well, add this song to your party playlist and a reckless night is guaranteed…
Composition wise, I was trying to discover a more blues rock approach in song-writing. I feel like this is our grooviest track, and mean hard rocking one for sure!”
Anthems Of The Night was recorded in December 2021 at Comeback Studios (Spain). Produced, mixed and mastered by Alejandro Gabasa Barcoj. The band meticulously crafted 4 new songs, aptly fit for a summer’s night drive with the top down and the music loud.
