ARTIFICIAL EDEN: “Artificial Eden” (16 October 2020, Boersma Records)

Many people got to know Artificial Eden as Quadra. Now, after several years on stage and having shared it with big names of various metal genres, they decided to make a big step on their career. The homonymous debut album was released by the German Boersma Records and their diverse nature was revealed.

This album of the guys from Patra is now a fact and many friends who admired them during their years, will now feel justified.

With an old-fashioned aesthetic but also modern touches, the band has a wealth of elements, which balance between thrash and prog, close to the style of Iced Earth, the late Metallica but also that of Nevermore, Dream Theater and Fates Warning, especially in terms of its complexity of their stuff.

On the other hand, despite the perfection and the skillful musicianship of the band, the production remains DIY, something that could be characterized positively, since it reminds of the great 90's spirit. The listener will not be dissatisfied with the final result, while tracks like Lies Between The Lines and Land Of Depression will impress to the fullest.

A good, honest and rich work, which reveals the passion and effort of the band. This is how the homonymous album could be characterized and with minor changes in the final result, everything could highlight the band even more in the near future.

Despite the small twists and turns, Artificial Eden is buzzing with ideas and the fans will embrace this album.
