O.Y.D. interview: "So, about the music, I can say that is a teamwork."

Tell us about your latest release album!

Our latest album “Indigo” was released back in 2019.
We recorded the album at Fredman Studios in Gothenburg, Sweden.
The man behind the console was Fredrik Nordstrom.

How was the recording process for this album?

It was absolutely a unique experience. Working with Fred was fun, enjoyable, and inspiring process.

What feedback do you get from your audience?

The feedback was great. We started playing live gigs all around Greece gaining more and more fans with every gig. But COVID had different plans.

Who is responsible writing the music and song lyrics?

So, about the music, I can say that is a teamwork. We all write together, we jam riffs we built the song and then the lyrics comes.

You just released a new video clip, tell us more about it!

Our music video deals with racism and social injustice. The main issue was George Floyd’s murder.

Are you pleased with the final outcome?

Sure, the outcome was awesome. We worked together the script with our director Alex Kokkinos. He is such amazing guy. We got the script done by exchanging ideas and then we got to video shoot these ideas. This time we got done the video clip done first, then we began recording the song.

Describe your sound for someone who’s never heard you?

It’s kinda hard because every song is something different. We categorize it to the genre of Alternative Metalcore.

What are your influences?

Let’s say most that came up with new ideas in the 90s and 00s. Some bands are Faith no more, Tool or slipknot

How do you feel every time you are on stage?

Unique. Playing live, is the main reason we are doing this thing and we miss it so much.

Tell us about your next moves!

We’re writing music for our third album, and we hope that this whole COVID thing will end before end of the year so we got get back out there playing live all around the world

Thank you so much!
