From cover band to full-on heavy metal originals, that's the story of Finland's Mysterizer who made their debut with their 2018 EP "Tales From The Mystery Days", followed right after by their 2019 full-length "Invisible Enemy" (Inverse Records).
Now signed to Rockshots Records, they will be unleashing their sophomore album "Burn Witch Burn" later in 2021.
"There will be something for every heavy/power metal fan on this album; catching choruses, riffs, traditional heavy music, and some interesting lyrical topics." says vocalist Tomi Kurtti.
To give fans a sneak peek of what's to come, Mysterizer is sharing their music video for the album's lead single and title track.
"'Burn Witch Burn' is a song about the witch-hunts in Europe during the 15th century, when the book 'Malleus Maleficarum" also known in English translation as the Hammer of Witches was published. It was written to give instructions on interrogating suspected witches. The brutal interrogation tactics were successful and consequently, many unfortunate people were burned alive."
